Started
in 1893 by Desodharaka Nageswara Rao Pantulu Garu, a renowned Freedom
fighter, Amrutanjan became a public limited company in 1936. Since then
there has been no looking back.
The company is constantly upgrading its technology to cater to the
growing market.

Amrutanjan has a wide range of Ayurvedic and
Allopathic products ranging from pain balms of varied strengths to
revitatisers, paracetamol and other health care products. Amrutanjan has
helped millions of people to relieve the pain and discomfort associated
with headache, cold, sprain, muscular pain, rheumatic pain and lumbago.
The prime product of the company is Amrutanjan Pain Balm.

In 1993 the company started the production of fine chemicals and custom
synthesis chemicals to meet the demand from overseas buyers.
The products are used as raw materials for the synthesis of bulk drugs
as well as for the development of novel drug substances which are in
Phase - I and Phase - II clinical trials.

The company's R& D team is ambitious. Amrutanjan's commitment to
give only the best to its customers is reflected in its focus on R &
D. Managed by a highly qualified team of professionals and scientists,
the R & D centre, that houses a laboratory, a pilot plant,
analytical instrumentation facility and a library, has great plans for
the future.
The R & D team is helping the OTC products division and chemical
products division in the development and introduction of new products.
Production Facilities
The Company has two manufacturing units for OTC products, one at Chennai(Madras) and the other at Uppal, Hyderabad.
The fine chemical division has its production plants at Egattur and Cuddalore.
Marketing Network
The
Company has a wide and well established network of distribution and
caters to the needs of its customers promptly and effectively.
It has over 2 lakh retailers and about 1200 stockists all over India for
its OTC products.
The fine chemicals division operates its marketing activities directly
from its head quarters at Chennai as well as through Agents in Mumbai.
Exports
OTC
products are regularly exported to the Middle-East, Gulf, West African
Countries, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Mauritius.
The product has already been registered as per the norms prescribed by
the FDA.
All the fine chemicals manufactured in the division are regularly
exported to USA and many European countries including Germany, UK,
Switzerland, Italy, Belgium and Sweden.
Some of the chemicals produced in the division are regularly exported to
Canada, South Africa, Korea, Israel and Latin America as well.
